Hello forum members! I am new to the forum but have been to beautiful Antigua twice before. Does anyone know if there are any apartment or villa rentals near the Fryes Bay or Darkwood Beach area (other than Jolly Harbor)?

As you turn off the main road and go toward Ffreys Beach you will see Agave Landings to your left. It looks very clean and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Could be what you are looking for.

Thank you both so much for the advice! I'll have to do some discussing with the husband

and make a decision. Oh boy... never thought I'd be wishing for winter to come again any time soon but the beach pictures are looking pretty good and it's never too soon to plan next winters trip! Right?

As I was looking around at the different accommodation options I noticed the development of Tamarind hills. What's up with this big, massive plan? Probably wouldn't want to stay on this side of the island if construction is going on. Any news about it?

You might notice it at Agave Landings, but otherwise, it would have no impact at all IMO. There is work going on, but it's not happening quickly...

We were just there and nothing is going on and Algave looked pretty quiet. The development is on the corner where you turn into Ffryes. They have little cottages in a community setting but it doesn't look appealing to me. There is also a huge complex going on at Darkwood and it is spoiling the whole area. That's progress but it looks like a lot of projects that started up have come to a standstill. Picture is of Darkwood at the far end.

We stayed at Agave Landings in December. The apartments are large and well-appointed. I can provide more information if you are interested.
